Due to the need for precise scheduling, prepayment requirements, square footage confirmation, and weather considerations, we do not accept sod orders via email, text, or social media. However, we’re happy to answer general inquiries through those channels.
All sod orders, regardless of size, are freshly harvested before your designated pick-up or delivery time. Prepayment is required to schedule your harvest. By calling us, we can ensure smooth coordination, confirm your square footage needs, and provide detailed instructions for your pick-up. For delivery requests, this allows us to gather specific information to serve you better. We strive to accommodate your requested pick-up or delivery date while considering our existing schedule.
Visiting Farm
As a privately-owned farming operation, we do not operate a retail storefront. Therefore, all visits to the farm require an appointment for viewing the sod field or picking up orders. Thank you for your understanding!
At Clegg & Sons’ Farms, LLC, we take pride in offering only farm-fresh sod. As a dedicated sod farm, we do not stock pre-harvested sod that may dry out over time. Instead, we harvest your sod fresh just before your scheduled pick-up or delivery, ensuring that you receive the highest quality product.
ARRIVING AT FARM INSTRUCTIONS: Traveling West on 950N, right past the small farmhouse with green siding, there is a large 30-foot gravel drive before the start of the sod field. Please pull in and proceed to the turnaround area to get sod order loaded.
Paying for Sod
All orders must be paid in full before we harvest your sod. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express for your convenience. Once your payment is processed, you will receive a receipt via email or text.
If you prefer to pay by cash, please ensure arrangements are made before your sod order is scheduled for harvesting.
Important Notice: Cancellation Policy for Sod Orders
As an agricultural sod producer, we want to emphasize that our product is highly perishable. Once harvested, sod must be installed and watered immediately to maintain its quality.
When you place a sod order for direct pick-up or delivery, we harvest the sod fresh just prior to your scheduled appointment. Once the harvesting process has begun for your order, cancellations or refunds are no longer possible. This policy is strictly enforced with limited exceptions.
The only exception to this policy occurs if you provide sufficient notice before the harvesting process begins. In this case, a refund will be issued, minus the current credit card processing fees, which are as follows: 3.50% + $0.15.

Our Sod and How It Is Sold
We are currently harvesting a premium blend of Fescue and Bluegrass seed varieties. Our sod is classified as a cool-season turf, ensuring lush and vibrant growth. Our sod is sold by the square foot.
We offer sod in rolls, each measuring 2 feet wide by 5 feet long, covering approximately 10 square feet.

½ Pallet of Sod Rolls: Approximately 300 square feet
Full Pallet of Sod Rolls: Approximately 600 square feet

We harvest and sell sod year-round, including during the winter months as weather permits. Please note that winter rates may apply in December, January, and February.
*Indiana requires 7% sales tax on all sod sales and delivery services.
Sod Installation
Pricing for sod installation varies based on the necessary groundwork preparation, property accessibility, etc. Please call our office to discuss your project and schedule a time for us to visit your property. A physical assessment is essential for providing an accurate quote, as we will measure the area to be sodded.
During our visit, we will provide a verbal quote so you have immediate pricing information. Following our meeting, we will send a written quote that reflects our discussion. You can receive this written quote via email on the same day or by US Postal mail, based on your preference.
